MB Reason
This Modification Bulletin upgrades the software from IFMS 2.5.1 and GPS 2.8 to IFMS 2.5.2 and GPS 2.11. Revision C of this Modification Bulletin updates the IS&S service bulletin information.
MB Description
The IFMS update contains new software for both the Primary Flight Display (PFD) and Multi-Function Display (MFD). The Global Positioning System (GPS) update contains new software for the IS&S GPS. The software update is applicable to IFMS configured aircraft and should only be performed on previously upgraded airplanes.
This Modification applies to Eclipse EA500 aircraft with AVIO NG configuration utilizing the IS&S Primary Flight, Multifunction Displays, and Global Positioning System. The applicable software configuration for this upgrade is Eclipse 2.5 Revision 5, 7H-07048-49. The EFIS NG IFMS configured airplane will change to Eclipse 2.5 Revision 6, 7H-07048-51 configuration with the SW change. The IS&S GPS will change to a 7H-87010-9 configuration with the SW change.
MB Compliance
This Modification Bulletin must be accomplished at an Eclipse Aerospace Authorized Service Center.
Must have the following bulletins accomplished prior to, or in conjunction with this Modification Bulletin:
- MB 500-31-003, Avio NG 2.5 Provisions
- MB 500-31-006, IFMS 2.5 Software Upgrade and SDU Install
