MB Reason
This Modification Bulletin prepares an aircraft for the ADS-B Out functionality.
MB Description
The Extended Squitter Enabled GTX 33 provides the capabilities of Automatic Dependent Surveillance- Broadcast (ADS-B) technology, which improves situational awareness and flight safety. This MB replaces the aircraft transponders GTX33 or GTX33D by Garmin with the transponder units GTX33(ES) or GTX33D(ES), respectively, that enable the Extended Squitter (ES) required for the ADS-B Out technology. Additional Software updates are required to provide ADS-B out functionality.
MB Compliance
This MB must be accomplished at an Eclipse Aerospace Authorized Service Center.

Aircraft Serial Numbers: 000001 to 000262, 000266, 000267 aircraft equipped with IFMS 2.5
