SB Reason

New FADEC Software has been developed to address the following items:

Improved Thrust Lever Angle (TLA) fault accommodation
A reduced acceleration schedule in the lower power region for sea level and 10K ft
Updated transient excursion limit
Updated thrust lever position threshold

Rev B of this SB updates the effectivity and clarifies the compliance date.

SB Description

This Service Bulletin identifies instructions for loading the new version of FADEC software. NOTE: The FADEC must be updated on both engines of the aircraft (all four FADEC control channels) at the same time.

SB Compliance

Eclipse Aerospace Incorporated considers FADEC SW 0406 installation, per MB 500-76-001, to be an mandatory upgrade that must be accomplished within 300 hours of aircraft operation or 2 years, whichever comes first. This Service Bulletin must be accomplished at an Eclipse Aerospace Designated Service Center.

Effectivity

Aircraft Serial Numbers: 0001-0038, Post SB 500-99-001 and 0039-0300.
