SB Reason
This Service Bulletin provides instructions to add flange heaters to prevent Probes from freezing in flight.
SB Description
This Service Bulletin provides installation instructions for bonding an external flange heater to each pitot/AOA probe. There are two Modification Bulletins that install Pitot/AOA Flange Heaters. Modification Bulletin accomplishment is dependent on the aircraft configuration. (1) MB500-34-027, PITOT/AOA Probe Flange Heater, Effectivity: 000001 to 000262, 000266, 000267 POST MB 500-31-007 and MB 500-34-025 (2) MB500-34-028, PITOT/AOA Probe Flange Heater (Independent), Effectivity: Aircraft Serial Numbers: 000001 to 000262, 000266, 000267 with iFMS 2.08 or 2.5.2.
SB Compliance
Eclipse Aerospace Incorporated considers this Service Bulletin to be a mandatory upgrade that must be accomplished within 120 days from the issue date of this Service Bulletin.
