SIL Summary
This Service Information Letter provides clarification for the scheduled replacement interval of the Secondary Outflow Valve filter.
SIL Background
Service Engineering has received several queries regarding the Secondary Outflow Valve filter with respect to
whether there is a calendar interval for its replacement in addition to the time interval.
The outflow valve manufacturer recommends a replacement interval of 1200 hours. This interval is reflected in
AMM 05-10-10, Time Limited Maintenance Requirements. Because contaminants can still collect on the filter when
the aircraft is not operating, EAI believes a calendar limit is also prudent to ensure the continued reliability of the
Secondary Outflow Valve. EAI set the calendar limit to 48 months to align with the 1200 hour / 48 month inspection.
Eclipse Action
EAI will revise AMM 05-10-10 to clarify the Secondary Outflow Valve filter replacement interval.
Suggested Operator Action
Operators should ensure the Secondary Outflow Valve filter is replaced at each 1200 hour / 48 month inspection.
