SIL Summary
This Service Information Letter introduces the availability of a field service kit to replace damaged NACA inlet panel seals.
SIL Background
The NACA inlet panel seals can deteriorate due to environmental exposure. EAI has received reports of suspect materials being used to replace the seals. Improper materials, or deteriorated seals can reduce the effectiveness of the bleed air cooling system.
Eclipse Action
EAI has developed a field service kit to replace the seals as needed. The IPC will be revised to include NACA inlet seal P/Ns.
Suggested Operator Action
If an operator notices damage to the NACA inlet seals, replacement parts can be obtained using the appropriate
service kit noted below:
For aircraft with 2199061 or 2199062 NACA inlet panels:
Order kit P/N SK-21-0002
For aircraft with 2199041 or 2199042 NACA inlet panels:
Order kit P/N SK-21-0001 - LH (For Left Side)
Order kit P/N SK-21-0001 - RH (For Right Side)
