SIL Summary
This letter provides clarification on the acceptable pressure in the 26-123127-1001 Fire Extinguisher Cartridge as a function of temperature.
SIL Background
Eclipse Aerospace has received several requests to clarify the minimum acceptable pressure in the
26-123127-1001 Fire Extinguisher Cartridge installed by SB 500-26-001. The green colored band on the cartridge
pressure gauge covers the acceptable canister pressure at a specific temperature. However, the acceptable
canister pressure changes with temperature and the existing chart does not cover the range of temperatures the
aircraft would normally be subject to in a ramp or hanger environment.
Page 4-5 of Revision 4 of the 06-122204 AFM contains a minimum canister pressure chart with a narrow
temperature range. The fire extinguisher cartridge - inspection/check task in AMM-26-20-00-021-B-801 does not
contain a minimum canister pressure chart.
Eclipse Action
Eclipse is releasing temporary revisions to the pertinent AFM and AMM sections that include a more detailed acceptable canister pressure chart with a wide temperature compensation range.
Suggested Operator Action
Incorporate the temporary revisions when they are released
