SIL Summary
This SIL provides information regarding an upcoming re-organization of EAI’s air data component manufacturer’s processes and the short term effect it may have on the availability of spare parts such Pitot / AOA Probes and Air Data Computers.
SIL Background
Harco Labs, the manufacturer of the air data system components for Eclipse aircraft is beginning a re-organization of their manufacturing and repair processes beginning on August 28, 2014. This change is intended increase efficiency in the manufacturing and repair processes
Eclipse Action
Eclipse is issuing this SIL to advise customers that there may be some short-term shortages of certain air data system components while the re-organization is in progress. This process is intended to be completed within 2-3 weeks. EAI has increased its inventory levels to minimize any inconvenience to our customers.
Suggested Operator Action
EAI is supplying this SIL to keep owners / operators informed. No action is required.
