SIL Summary
This SIL provides information on recent changes to the scheduled maintenance requirements for Eclipse 500 and 550 aircraft.
SIL Background
In response to in-service feedback, EAI has extended the inspection interval for the Icephobic coating from 50 flight hours or 3 months (whichever occurs first) to 200 flight hours or 12 months (whichever occurs first). EAI has also added a grace period to many scheduled maintenance items to increase maintenance scheduling flexibility.
Eclipse Action
EAI will be adjusting the required maintenance intervals in their maintenance tracking system. Aircraft using EAI maintenance tracking will note the new intervals at their next weekly update.
Suggested Operator Action
Operators should download AMM TR05-08 (500) or TR05-01 (550) and adjust their maintenance tracking records to reflect the new intervals. Aircraft using EAI maintenance tracking will be adjusted at their next weekly update.
