SIL Summary
Eclipse Aerospace, Inc. (EAI) has released a Standby Display Unit (SDU) software update for Eclipse 550® and Eclipse 500 aircraft equipped with SDUs. This SIL summarizes the changes in that update.
SIL Background
Eclipse Action
EAI has issued MB 550-31-001 for Eclipse 550 aircraft and MB 500-31-010 for Eclipse 500 aircraft equipped with an SDU. This update is available now at Factory Service Centers. It will be available at EAI Gold Service Centers in North America beginning on Jan 20, 2015.
For SDU equipped aircraft located outside of North America, EAI is building a rotable pool of upgraded units. The upgrade will be accomplished by removing and replacing the SDU with a upgraded unit from the pool. For customers located outside North America, EAI will contact them directly to arrange for the upgrade.
Suggested Operator Action
Operators are encouraged to schedule the SDU update with their preferred EAI Factory Service Center. SDU's may also be sent to the Chicago or Albuquerque Service Centers for updating.
