Applicability
Replacement Gas Spring Strut P/N 9416K376
SIL Summary
Replacement upper door gas strut with higher pressure now available.
SIL Background
Eclipse received customer requests for a alternate to the P/N 9416K194 upper door hold open strut that would provide additional opening strength in extreme cold weather conditions. EAI has identified a suitable replacement unit and determined that changing to a higher pressure strut will provide additional lifting strength at temperature extremes with no adverse effects in average conditions. The higher pressure strut will be standard on all new production aircraft.
Eclipse Action
Eclipse will no longer stock the 9416K194 Gas Spring Strut. The new P/N, 9416K376 will be stocked. The new P/N will be added to IPC 52-10-11 as an alternate at the next IPC revision.
Suggested Operator Action
Replace the 9416K194 Gas Spring Strut with the 9416K376 Gas Spring Strut when a replacement strut is needed.
