SIL Summary

This SIL provides guidance concerning the fixes, conditions, or enhancements included in the IFMS 2.7.10 software release.

SIL Background

IFMS 2.7.10 RELEASE NOTES
• Enhanced data loading logic to limit failed data loads.
• The following functionality has been added to Service Mode:
- Ability to sync stored navigation database on MFD to left and right PFDs.
- Each loadable item has its own progress bar to ensure proper loads have occurred.
• Default speaker state set to off upon power up.
• Flight planning logic updated to render the fly-by / fly-over waypoints based upon the fly-by / fly-over column entry in the Jeppesen Navigation Database.
• Added conditions to the flight planning logic that corrected waypoint types for multiple fly-by/ fly-over approaches that were previously not being rendered according to the published procedure.
- Full impact of fly-by / fly-over improvements pending IS&S' update of the Navigation Database Conversion Tool (also known as the "nav. database cruncher").
• Modified flight planning logic to correct the rendering of Arc to Fix (AF) leg types to ensure that the rendered arc is flown according to the published procedure.
• Corrected the distance calculation for an Initial Approach Fix HOLD that was previously not accounting for the outbound portion of the initial hold entry. This correction allows for proper distance to be calculated, which in turn corrects previous erroneous calculation values of Estimated Time En Route and Fuel Remaining for this flight plan leg type.
• Updated navigation database mismatch detection logic.
• Updated drivers for Ethernet hardware.
